Much of the art Grayson Studio creates in on upcycled sustainable materials. Below are some examples of available metal.
Here’s how the process works. Once the upcycled metal is chosen, we completely clear the metal of all rust, grime, coatings, and dirt (grinding, sanding and an ecologically friendly chemical metal prep). We then coat the metal with an automotive primer or a rust-converting pre-coat (a coat of primer that converts any remaining rust-prone areas to a paintable surface). From there, we apply the base coat and create art.
Currently, about 50% of the sheet-metal art we create is on upcycled sustainable materials.
